Q. How do I find procurement opportunities?
A. You can look through the El Paso Times news paper or online under legal notices. This is a good way to find contracting and sub-contracting opportunities both in El Paso and the surrounding areas.
CCR Registration What you will need: (CCR Worksheet in PDF format downloadable)
DUNS (Dun & Bradstreet): If your business does not have a DUNS NO call 1-866-705-5711 (toll free). You will need to provide the following information:
1. Business Name
2. Business Address
3. Business Telephone Number
4. Owner's Name
5. Date business established
6. # of employees
7. products or services provided by business
TIN (Tax Identification Number): issued by the IRS with employees if no employees, owners social security number will be used. If a TIN is needed please call the IRS at 1-800-829-1040.
CAGE: Commercial Government Entity Code if one has already been assigned if not one will be assigned during CCR Registration.
SIC Code: Insert codes that apply to the business. If you need assistance identifying the codes your counselor will help you identify them.
Banking Information: EFT is used for any contract payments. Contact your bank and bank will provide all of the necessary information.
Please bring the completed documents to your appointment with the Contracting Opportunities Center this will help expedite the CCR Registration process.
Doing Business with the Federal Government
Q. How can I do business with the Federal Government?
A. First you must be registered in CCR (Central Contractor Registration).
Q. What is CCR?
A. CCR is your free marketing tool for the Federal Government. It is where they find you and how they will pay you.
Q How do I register?
A. To register please click on CCR Registration and CCR Worksheet. Once you have obtained all information required you can then complete the worksheet prior to going to www.ccr.gov to initialize registration.
Q. How long will registration take?
A. Registration takes 24 to 48 hours (business days)

Q. Where can I find federal bid opportunities?
A. All federal opportunities over $25,000 can be found on the Fed Biz Opps website, www.fbo.gov . For more opportunities at Fort Bliss you can visit https://acquisition.army.mil/asfi/solicitation or visit the Directorate of Contracting office located at 2021 Club Road , Fort Bliss .
