With the ever-present sun and mild, dry year-round weather, recreation is a year-round possibility.
The city provides an array of parks, gardens, mountain and desert trails, as well as facilities for
hiking, biking and horseback riding.
El Paso’s mild climate can accommodate outdoor sports enthusiasts year round. El Paso offers seven
public (Painted Dunes Golf Course has been rated No. 2 by Golf Digest for a public course), four
private and two military golf courses catering to golf enthusiasts. Tennis buffs can get in a few
quick sets at one of the city’s 25 public and private facilities.
