The main qualification for selection is proven commitment to community service. Leadership El Paso hopes to identify those who will be best positioned to affect positive change within El Paso’s business’ and community. Applicants must have lived or worked in the El Paso area for the 12 months at time of application.
Tuition covers all program costs including retreat room & board, meals, transportation, speakers, and venues. Often employers sponsor the participation of an employee. Limited scholarships available.
Attendance at eight all-day sessions (minimum). Scheduled on the second Friday of each month

Participation in the Class Charitable Project
Curriculum focuses on a taking a deeper look at the variety of happenings that shape our community. Class participants will be engrossed in the sectors of economic development, the military, healthcare, social services and quality of life moderate sessions and provide briefings. This allows class members priceless opportunities to pose in-depth questions and engage in frank discussions on hot topics and current events.

Participants are selected through an application scoring process. The top scoring applications from each school are selected. Selection begins in May of each year. Applicants must be enrolled as a High School Junior (or equivalent) in a State accredited institution in the El Paso Region.
Through the generous support of local community partnerships, the program is free to students; and is managed by volunteer committees made up of Leadership El Paso Class XXV alumni who conceived and developed the program.
Attendance at seven all-day sessions (minimum). Scheduled one Wednesday of each month (September- May).
Selected participants will be excused from school classes and an attendance record will be provided to the participant’s counselor.
