In honor of Women’s History Month, we have selected FastSigns El Paso to be our March Business Highlight. EPC Staff asked Monica Velasco, owner of FastSigns, to share what makes her business a success:

What does it mean to be a member of the El Paso Chamber?

“During our 30 years operating in El Paso, we have been an active member of the Chamber. We have loved interacting and being part of the events. We also landed a very large customer by attending an event.”

What is so special about doing business in El Paso?

“Our community has a strong work ethic. As El Pasoans, we are proud of our culture and relationships to cultivate our business.”

What is one word that describes your business and why?

“Established - We have an excellent reputation that shows we are here to stay. 30 years and counting.”

What makes your business successful?

“Our employees are our family. We truly care and nurture them. We have employees that have been with us for over 29 years.”

Elevator Pitch on what your business means to the community and how they contribute to the community.

“We are visual communications experts. We were humbled and honored to be given the opportunity to fabricate the Walmart victim’s permanent memorial at Ascarate Park. This gave us so much comfort as our community will continue to lead.”

What is one take away that you have learned from business that you can share with others?

“Quality is everything. Continually improve yourself. Relationships = Partnerships”

“I always knew as a child I would own a business. It was in my blood. I am thrilled as a woman-owned business to see my dream realized. Never give up and always stay grounded”
